Hurricane Dean passed through the Yucatan Region and Belize earlier this week and we are all so relieved that so far no lives were claimed by this monstrous Category 5 Hurricane. As you can see from the picture it covered a large area of Central America as it passed through.Fortunately the center of Belize, Belmopan, and the Cayo District received no damage and in fact if it was not for the news we would never have known there was a hurricane in the region.
Many Thanks to all who sent their best wishes and kind words to the Belize Jungle Dome on the day before it hit our area. We appreciate that some of our previous guests were concerned for our welfare. Needless to say we wish all in the North of Belize and Mexico a speedy recovery and hope that life can return to normal as soon as possible.
