"Still can't get over the great time I had in Belize...it is the most beautiful country from miraculous, wide and wondrous caves, incredible rain forests with cool creatures like howler monkeys and tarantulas. Jaguars and toucans...Caracol Mayan temples. The people, food and drinks!! What an experience" from Suzanne Perkins who brought the group from www.lotsofevents.com

Dear Karen and Staff

Thank you so much for helping me and my family have such a wonderful time in Belize! Every part of this vacation was amazing.

The wonderful view from our villa, the delicious chocolate chip cookies, the impeccable cleanliness of the house, the beautiful flowers, the super delicious food and most of all your kindness and hospitality, making us all feel at home!

All of the excursions you helped us experience were breathtaking! We loved the kayaking and the Black Hole Drop – which we will never forget!

Hope to see you sometime soon with the rest of the family!

Belize Trip Review - January 2009

Jan 5th, 2009

Lael & Mark Oldmixon, Fairbanks, Alaska, USA

Mark & I had an incredible stay here at the Jungle Dome. The service and staff have been exceptional and like many who wrote before us, we loved the food. We had a short stay (3 nights) but, with the help of Karen, we’ve been able to pack a lot into 4 days.

1st day: Luis picked us up at the Caye Caulker water taxi terminal and showed us a little bit of Belize City. He took us on a amazing tour of the Belize Zoo, which we believe is a must see! Make sure you have a guide, it really enhances the experience.

2nd day: We woke up early for a run down the mainroad. It’s 2 miles to the Banana Bank sign & worth it, even if you walk most of it. Beautiful horses are grazing everywhere you look. We then went on the ATM tour. It was breathtaking! Be prepared to be wet (wear swim gear) & shoes you don’t mind to have wet for the rest of the trip. This was one of our favourite trips and we particularly enjoyed our guide, Orlando.

3rd day: We went to Caracol. Wow! It was impressive, inspiring, beautiful. I’m truly glad we made the 2 ½ hour bumpy (riverbed bumpy) drive. Luis was our guide again and shared a wealth of history and facts. This was topped off with a treck to the Rio Frio cave (gorgeous) and then a quick dip in the Rio Frio Falls. It was a long day, but worth the trip.

Last day: We’re off the experience the Black Hole Drop. Luis said that we will kissing the ground when we finish the 300 ft descent, you bet it will happen too!
Once again, we’ve had such a nice stay here. I hope to return for either a longer stay or just to try out everything we’ve missed. Thanks Karen, David and crew!

P.S. It’s -40 degrees in Fairbanks now. Boy are we glad to be here instead!

Laura, Tom & Christine,

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Jungle Dome. We really enjoyed the food that we ate. The pool was cold but everyone, except mom, went in. We liked seeing the Mayan ruins a lot. The days at the Jungle Dome went by so fast. The only bad part was leaving!

Thank you Jungle Dome for making our stay in Belize so enjoyable. We hope to come back soon!

Belize Honeymoons - Los Angeles, USA - Honeymoon Trip - August 2008

David and Emma Loyless Honeymoon Trip to Belize

"I am sad to say this is our last night here at the Belize Jungle Dome. These past few days have been paradise for us. The culture and rich history of Belize just seem to entrap you making you never want to leave. The staff here have been beyond excellent. I feel that we have definitely received the royal treatment for our honeymoon."

My Trip Review - Long Beach, California, USA - July 2008 - Tim and Julie

This has been our first trip to Belize, but I doubt it will be our last. The wonderful hospitality of the Jungle Dome staff only added to our extreme delight with the culture and the history of Belize. Although we have enjoyed every activity we’ve done, our favorites were climbing to the top of the temple at Caracol, Rio Frio and the Black Hole Drop.

Thank you to Andy, David, Simone and all the tour guides for making this such a special trip.

My Trip Review - Orlando, Florida, USA - Preston and Kristy Patterson - May 2008

We had a hard time choosing where to go for our honeymoon. After all, it is a pretty big world! But we are so happy that we stumbled upon Belize and the Jungle Dome!

We could not have imagined a better trip if we wanted to. Between the ATM cave, Caracol, Cave Tubing, Zip Lining and the overnight stay in the Black Hole Drop cave, many amazing memories were created. Also, thank you so much for your hospitality.

The food was wonderful, our room stayed clean, everyone was very helpful, much information was offered and service was always given with an eager smile!

This trip’s success had everything to do with your hard work so thanks again!

Good luck to you all.

Group Belize Travel Review - Al Romao, Adam and Crew from New Jersey, New York, USA - December 2007

This is our second time staying at the Belize Jungle Dome. Our first stay was so incredible that we decided to come back, but this time we brought seven friends and family along with us!

The Jungle Dome is the kind of place that you feel immediately welcomed into their beautiful sanctuary. You become a part of their family for you stay. The staff are incredible, the food will put any five star restaurant to shame and the ambiance and rooms are wonderful.

The excursions that are available through the Jungle Dome are incredible, adventurous and a once in a lifetime trip. I highly suggest visiting the ancient Mayan Ruin City of Caracol, the deep Mayan caves of Actun Tunicial Mucknal (ATM), The Black Hole Drop (Not for the faint of heart) and the many other wonderful day trips that they offer. Each trip has lunches included and transportation which makes the day trips stress free and easy to relax.

I Highly recommend the Belize Jungle Dome if you are looking for a great adventure in a wonderful and friendly country and looking for a resort to stay at that has the feel of the jungle but with the comforts of home.

Thank you Karen, Luiz, David, Tella, Wani, Andy, Simone & Max for our wonderful stay and accomodations for our large group!

We all had the time of our lives and will never forget our stay with you.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Al, Adam and our crew from New Jersey, New York, USA - December 2007

Belize Trip Review Tracee Beard and Derek, Springfield, Illinois, USA - June 2007

Our first time here in Belize and both my husband and I have enjoyed our days here and we still have many more to come. So far we have experienced so much hospitality here at the Jungle Dome ~ everyone is so kind and friendly. First night in we relaxed by the pool with a yummy dinner and some Belikins ~ such great Belizean beer!

We have done one adventure after the next. First day we did the ATM which was just fantastic ~ an experience everyone should walk away with. Today we drive with Luis to Caracol. Very good tour guide and great conversation. He had so much to say and share. Then we stopped by Rio Frio cave and the pool of waterfalls to swim in. It was all so much fun. Tonight we had our last wonderful meal with the Jungle Dome ~ best food on a vacation.

We will miss the warm service and great food. Tomorrow we do the zip line and cave tubing and then off to the island but wanted to say many thanks to the wonderful stuff at the Jungle Dome. David is very friendly and fun to talk to and all the cooks did an amazing job and thanks to Andy and the others for looking out for us and giving us a wonderful memory of our honeymoon to Belize Jungle Dome

Belize Guest comments from Verghese Family, Washington DC, USA - May 2007

To Everyone at the Jungle Dome

Thank you all for making this jungle spot into a place where we could make friends instantly over dinner. We shared our outings with others we met at the Dome and felt we were on vacation with extended family.

From the moment we met David at the airport we felt we had come to a special place and the feeling only grew all the time we were here.

Luis did a great job explaining Mayan culture to us during cave tubing and at Caracol and his knowledge of the botany in Belize was inspirational. I wish I could know so much. The two Henrys did a great kayaking trip with the younger Henry being very patient with a city family!

It has been a pleasure to get to know the other guests and was easy to like people who appreciated Belize and the Jungle Dome as much as we did.

Guest Comments from Jan and Cameron Kleinert from New York, USA

When we were planning this trip, 4 nights sounded like plenty of time to spend here. Now that it’s time to fly home tomorrow, we certainly wish we had more time here. Everything about this vacation has been fantastic. Each of the tours we took were excellent.

Manuel was a great guide for the ATM trip and a special treat was that the archaeologist (his uncle) was leading a group of students through the cave that day so we got to listen in on his lecture as well. Carlos was our guide for both Caracol and cave tubing. He was so fun and friendly and obviously has a genuine interest in what he is doing. He is so knowledgeable about local history, plants, animals, etc. Thanks to Carlos we got to taste both sugar cane and termites today.

Aside from the tours, everyone at the Jungle Dome is just wonderful. It felt more like visiting friends and family than staying at a resort. Having dinner and sharing the great food and stories with other guests was a great way to end the days.

When we were planning this trip, I think I read a review on Tripadvisor from a guest who said that if you stayed here you would be planning your next trip here before you even left…they were right!

Thanks to everyone here for a very memorable trip!

Karen Turner, Belize Jungle Dome manager and Hardcore Temple to Temple Biker

Here She Comes

We are very proud of our Manager, Karen Turner who passed through Roaring Creek, Belmopan today on her way to the Caves Branch Campsite. She is in third place overall, which is a monumental achievement, beating most of the men in the race. Congratulations to Karen. At present she raised nearly $1,000 for the Jaden Foundation while doing this trip. Karen has almost completed the 750km in 7 days including climbing to Caracol Mayan Temples set high in the Mountain Pine Ridge of Belize, through mud and rain.

And there She goes - with only 2 riders ahead of her

Belize Guest Comments from Sheree and Vanessa Wills, Washington, USA

Thank you for the great time. It was very nice getting to know the staff at the Belize Jungle Dome, they are very interesting and give so much back to the community (as do Karen’s family, friends and herself). All our trips were excellent. We especially enjoyed the Actun Tunichil Muknal Caves, Tikal Mayan Temples & Caracol tours! Vanessa LOVED the Black Hole Drop Rappelling the best. We also appreciated our guides. Gonzo was the best. We would also like to give special acknowledgement to Karen and David. Not only were they helpful, they were entertaining and just fun. The rest of the staff was great too. This will be an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.

We wish health & happiness to all at the Jungle Dome.
